DETROIT (Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018) - For INDYCAR, "The Future Starts Now" - and it began today with the official unveiling of the highly anticipated car that will rule the roads, streets and ovals in the Verizon IndyCar Series for 2018 and beyond.

INDYCAR and its broadcast partners announced the 2018 television schedule today featuring an expanded use of in-car cameras to bring fans the thrilling action of the Verizon IndyCar Series from a variety of new angles in the upcoming 17-race season.
10. Introduction of the Visor Cam
Among the biggest issues surrounding the presentation of motorsport is the inability to translate the speed and excitement of the on-track experience onto television screens. IndyCar has taken a major step to solving this with their introduction of the visor cam.
